South Africa’s Hyman joined Campos Racing at the Hungaroring making his series debut in the Formula 3-based championship
South African Raoul Hyman made his Euroformula Open debut at the Hungaroring two weeks ago. Hyman, aged 21, contested at the Hungarian venue behind the wheel of a Campos Racing-entered Dallara F312 car. He immediately made an impression by taking pole position in Q1 and then stepped third onto the podium in Sunday race. Just one week after, Hyman secured his maiden win in the GP3 Series driving another car of Adrián Campos’ team. At the Red Bull Ring, Hyman delivered a faultless performance to beat all his rivals to win.
Other former Euroformula Open drivers such as 2016 champion Leonardo Pulcini, Jack Aitken or Tatiana Calderón are also contesting the GP3 Series.
